Faculty: Dr. Saiesha Mistry MDS
A leading Aesthetic and Restorative Dentist from Mumbai, India. She graduated from the Government Dental College and Hospital Bombay in 1991. She completed her Post Graduation with a Master’s Degree in Conservative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Hospital, London in 1995. After having established a successful restorative practice in Mumbai India, she obtained a Diploma in Advanced Aesthetics from Rosenthal Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry, New York University.

Dr. Mistry currently maintains a private practice, which is limited to Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry with special emphasis on smile make-over, implants and oral reconstructions. Dr. Mistry is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and an accredited member of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Mistry has published articles in various journals and newsletters, and has presented numerous lectures, hands-on workshops, and continuing education courses in various aspects of Aesthetics, Implants and Restorative Dentistry in India and Internationally.

About the Course:
This comprehensive lecture will teach you the essentials for facial aesthetics and smile designing.

Increased awareness of appearances and aesthetics has changed the dynamics of today’s dental patients. Contemporary treatments are not considered successful unless the final outcome is not only functional but also aesthetic. As a result, an Aesthetic Analysis or a Smile Design has become integral to every treatment plan.
In order to create aesthetics for an individual it is essential to personalize the persons smile with the lips and face. Thus merely treating the teeth is not enough, but we must look at Facial Aesthetics from a global perspective and integrate the teeth with the smile to enhance the face.
Composite Resins are the most versatile of restorative materials available for making minor or major changes in a dental appearance. They can be used to enhance and design a smile while giving the dentist full control of the desired outcome using his artistic expression in the overall smile design. The proper techniques can ensure the function and longevity of the smile design.
Course Objective:
At the end of the course you will have a better understanding on how to use composite veneers to translate your smile design into a captivating smile

Demonstrations and Hands On Sessions
Preparation for a Composite Laminate
Step-by-step technique involving color selection
Layering the composite using different opacities in different areas of the tooth
Defining tooth morphology
Finishing and polishing of the restorations.
